Jason Bathon

Jason Bathon began service in the US Navy directly after high school and was shortly thereafter stationed on board USS Deyo DD-989, a Spruance Class Destroyer, out of Norfolk VA. Petty Officer Bathon served as Oil King, GSM (Gas Systems Mechanic) until the completion of his active duty service in 1999. In 2000 PO Bathon joined the US Navy Reserves and worked with MIUW-112 (Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit) out of St. Louis, MO. Shortly thereafter PO Bathon moved to MIUW-114 out of Knob Noster, MO at Whiteman AFB. In 2002 PO Bathon and the unit was recalled to active duty and in on December 12th, they were shipped over to Kuwait in operation of Enduring Freedom and Global War on Terrorism. In March of 2003 the MIUW-114 was the first MIUW unit to be sent to Iraq. PO Bathon ended his reserve duty in November of 2008.
